Description
Deus-Ex-Machina is an immersive 360-degree short film created in full-dome format exclusively for the Zeiss Planetarium in Berlin, where it premiered as part of the Portale 2023 event. It is also suited for VR platforms, planetariums, and dome-shaped theaters. The visuals were crafted entirely using Unreal Engine 5.
The film explores technophilia, an intense fascination with advanced technology, and examines the potential consequences of its misuse, particularly with the rise of AI as an everyday tool. It also highlights concerns around AI-driven privacy issues, the sourcing of minerals essential for technology production, and the unequal distribution of technological access in regions where these resources are extracted.
